New Sounds is a collaborative sound and audiovisual project developed alongside Rombos Sound Studio and the Ministry of Culture and Youth of Costa Rica. The project investigates the intersections between territory, memory, and contemporary creation through the recording and composition of original soundscapes. Something Studio led the concept development, visual narrative, and digital adaptation of the series, transforming field recordings and artistic research into immersive digital pieces that highlight Costa Rica’s emerging sound practices. The result is both an artistic document and an accessible cultural platform — a celebration of listening as a creative and social act.
